What to Expect
We know that visiting a church for the first time can be stressful. We also know that you probably have a lot of questions for us before you visit. So, we have tried to answer three main questions that most people have before they join us for worship. What will we do?
We begin our worship services with a time of music and worship. We believe in being a family church, so our worship ranges from the newest contemporary worship songs to some of the oldest hymns of our faith. We project all of the words on a screen for you so you don't have to worry about finding the right page in a hymnal. After our worship time, we take communion. We do this every week as a way to remember Christ's great sacrifice on the cross for our sins. If you are a Christian, we encourage you to join us in this time. After Communion we have our offering. If you are visiting, we don't want you to feel that you have to participate in this time. This is for those of us who call MCC home to worship God through our gifts. After our offering our Senior Minister will deliver a message. It is our goal that all of our messages are Bible-based and relevant to your life. Our entire service lasts about 70 minutes.
What should I wear?
We believe that God is much more concerned with your heart than your outward appearance. That being said, we want you to be comfortable. Most of our people wear business casual. However, we have people in their Sunday best and people wearing jeans. We want you to feel comfortable to come as you are.
Where should my kids go?
We have excellent programming for kids - infants through high school.
- Our nursery and preschool are located on the main level. We strive to make this area exceptionally clean and safe for your child. We also have excellent teaching and programming for your youngster so that they will learn basic tenants of Christianity and have blast doing it. For more information, check out our Preschool Page.
- Our Elementary children's area is located directly under the preschool on the first level. During our 9:15a hour, our kids participate in educational and exciting Sunday School classes. During our 10:45a service our Kids Church program is for kids K-4th grade. Again we strive to teach and have fun at the same time. All of our kids birth-4th are checked in electronically so that we can insure maximum saftey for your kids so you have peace of mind during worship. For more information, check out our Children's Ministry Page.
- Fusion Worship is for our students 5th-12th grade. They will take part in a high energy worship service in the Family Life Center led by our Student Minister Jimmy Ranshaw. Our students have a great time worshipping and fellowshipping together while digging deeper into their Christian faith. If you would like any more information on Fusion, contact our Student Minister, Jimmy Ranshaw.
